10 days later, the spy creates a new identity for an Austrian businessman named Anton Kunzule and moves from Paris to Rio de Janeiro. Herbert Cukurs lived in Sao Paulo, both of his sons take care of him and had protection from the Brazilian police, but he always thought that at some point a Mossad spy would come to kill him.

Anton Kunzule knew very well that if he went straight to meet Herberts Cukurs, he would be suspicious, so Anton Kunzule first goes to Rio de Janeiro, understands the tourism business there and then goes to Sao Paulo. Going to sao Paulo, Anton Kunzule goes to the lake where the Herbers Cukurs had a tourism business. Anton Kunzule sees a seaplane with a tough guy standing next to it and this tough guy was none other than the Butcher Of Latvia – Herbert Cukurs.
Anton Kunzule tells Herberts Cukurs that he is an Austrian businessman, he wants to invest in Brazil’s tourism business for that he wants to tour of sao Paulo. After this, both Anton and Herberts get on the plane and leave for the tour. Along the way, Herberts tells of World War II in which he killed several Jews. Anton Kunjule also takes an interest in his talk and also tells about his business.
Anton Kunzule, seeing condition of Herbert’s plane, understands that Herbert’s cukurs are in great need of money and taking advantage of this, Anton Kunzule offers Herbert Cukurs to work in his Brazilian tourism business. Herberts Cukurs is very pleased to hear this from anton Kunzule and he invites Anton Kunzule to meet him at his farmhouse.
A week later, Anton Kunzule visits Herbert Cukur’s farmhouse where the two spend a long time talking about the business of tourism. After talking for a long time, both of them go out on the walk, after walking a short distance, a spike gets lodged in the foot of Anton Kunzule.
Herberts Cukurs points his gun out in front of him as Anton Kunzule bends down to remove the spike. Seeing the gun pointed at him, Anton Kunzule understands that Herberts Cukurs has learnt that he is a spy and has come to kill him. Before Anton Kunzule can say anything, Herberts Kukurs gives him his gun and asks him to remove the spike stuck in his shoe.
After removing Spike, Anton Kunjule tells Herbert Kukurs that he and his friends are going to Montevideo, Uruguay, where they want to build their office, and that he can come with them if he want.
After returning home, Herberts Cukers talks to his security officer that he has a very good business deal that will require him to go to Uruguay, his security officer vehemently refuses and says that going there will put your life in danger. It is possible. But due to financial constraints, Herberts Cukur, ignoring the advice of his security officer, left for Uruguay with Anton Kunjule on 23 February 1965.
